    DESCRIPTION

Intense ruby red color. It gives off hints of berries and ripe red fruit accompanied by vanilla nuances, chocolate memories and floral tones of violet, spices, and undergrowth. Good body and soft on the palate, pleasantly savory. Spicy and persistent finish.

Pairings: excellent with elaborate first courses and with high-aged cheeses. To the most daring we recommend to combine it with game.
This Barbera ferments in a steel tank at controlled temperature. It is aged in oak barriques and French 228 liters for 12 months. After bottling follows an 8-month rest in the bottle.

    THE CELLAR (LA CANTINA)

Aware of the primary need to respect and enhance the peculiar characteristics of the vineyards, we considered these territories as a kind of magical place to find our roots.
In the early eighties, we decided to go back to the origins as winegrowers, although we are aware that our work does not end at the bottom of the queue and without thinking of having to invent something, but simply to respect, without mental closures, the best of tradition and the work of those who preceded us.

The first logical consequence was the choice to vinify and bottle separately from 1978 the grapes of our vineyards, worrying that our farm could find a space right in a market where good winemakers were already operating.

Monforte d'Alba, already pagus romanus and therefore a Lombard possession and in medieval times the epicenter of Cathar heresy, is an ideal meeting point between the Langa albese, the Doglianese and the Alta Langa and is universally considered one of the great capitals of Barolo, of whose production area is historically part.

Barolo in Monforte can count on a series of prestigious crus and different vineyards for exposure and composition of the soils, which express wines that combine structure and elegance, aromatic finesse, solid character and great hold over time.
