The Dolcetto d'Alba "Bricco Bastia" by Conterno Fantino is a young and fragrant red wine produced in the splendid territory of the Langhe with one of the most widespread and popular native vines in Piedmont.

The Conterno family produces wines of rare elegance and prestige in the heart of the Langhe. The winery was born in Cascina Sciulun, an ancient Piedmontese farm built in the mid-19th century. The Conterno Fantino estate, which covers 27 hectares in the hilly area of Monforte d'Alba, is one of the most famous of the Langhe for the production of the great red wines from Piedmont. All vineyards are managed under certified organic farming. The Dolcetto vineyards are about 30 years old and are cultivated on steep slopes at an altitude of 540 meters above sea level, with sunny exposure. The soils are of a calcareous clayey matrix and the plants are trained in Guyot. The harvest, with manual selection of the best grapes in the vineyard, traditionally takes place at the beginning of September and fermentation takes place in horizontal steel vats with a short maceration on the skins of only 4 or 5 days in order to avoid the extraction of too many tannins. An 8-month aging in steel vats before being bottled concludes the work.
