 DESCRIPTION:

A generously drinkable red, structured and full of character.

Grapes;100% Nebbiolo.

Color: Intense ruby red with brick reflections with aging.
Scent: fresh with floral notes of dog rose, blackberry and black currant.
Taste: soft, rightly tannic, persistent and harmonious.

Technique:  Maceration: in steel, traditional with floating cap for 15-18 days; aging: about 12 months, 80% stainless steel and 20% large barrel

 THE HISTORY OF THE CELLAR:

The extract from a land registry found in the archives of the municipality of Monteu Roero offers a testimony of the over 3 centuries of history that bind us to these lands.
From it it is clear that in 1670 "Giovanni Dominico Negro, son of Audino" was the owner, in the same area where today the Perdaudin farm with its prestigious vineyards is located, of a house with oven, barnyard, cellar and rows of vines.

It is right here, in the ancient Audino farm, that Angelo Negro, known as "Angelin", owner of a small farmhouse, was born at the beginning of the twentieth century.
At the beginning, the means are limited: two hectares of land for an annual production of just 15 demijohns. But the tenacity and the spirit of sacrifice bear fruit when Giovanni decides to follow his father's footsteps with passion, managing to realize the dream of building a winery in which to produce wine from the hills where he was born.

The choice to bet on autochthonous vines vinified with traditional methods and the constant attention to quality soon bears fruit: starting from the eighties, the wines of the Angelo Negro e Figli farm began to gain acclaim, first in Italy and then internationally.

Over time the company grows, expands and conquers new markets, becoming a reference model for the area. However, the management remains familiar: to support Giovanni Negro with tireless zeal there are his wife Maria Elisa and their four children, Gabriele, Angelo, Emanuela and Giuseppe, who have enthusiastically embraced the same philosophy.

The company can now count on almost 70 hectares of vineyards, distributed among:

- the historic Cascina Perdaudin in Monteu Roero, the Cascina San Vittore in Canale "ROERO";

- Cascina Basarin in Neive “BARBARESCO”;

- Cascina Baudana, in the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba "BAROLO".

The excellent exposure, the different soils and microclimates and the meticulous work in the vineyard and in the cellar give rise to very well-defined wines rich in character, appreciated and known all over the world.
